Indian Compound Archers Make History, Win First Gold Medal in World Cup Since 2019

 


India's compound archers shine at World Cup Stage 4, winning two gold medals

The Indian compound archers put up a brilliant performance at the World Cup Stage 4 in Paris, winning two gold medals. The women's team of Deepika Kumari, Deepika Kumari, and Parneet Kaur won the gold medal, while the men's team of Abhishek Verma, Aman Saini, and Rajat Chauhan won the gold medal.

The women's team defeated Mexico 234-233 in the final, while the men's team defeated the USA 236-232 in the final. This is India's first gold medal in the compound archery World Cup since 2019.

The performance of the Indian compound archers is a major boost ahead of the World Championships, which will be held in Yankton, South Dakota, in September. The Indian team is now ranked number one in the world in both men's and women's compound archery.
